Social Media Coordinator, National Student Leadership Conference
The National Student Leadership Conference is a network of academic and leadership programs hosted on college campuses across the United States for high school students in the summer. As of now, I have had the opportunity to work with students enrolled in programs at Rice University in Houston, Texas and at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
In 2017, over the course of about 2.5 months, I produced 40 videos for #NSLCinHouston and 32 videos for #NSLCatGU, took hundreds of photos of high school students building and testing underwater robots, learning how to perform sutures on pig feet, presenting their mock trial closing arguments, visiting the U.S. Department of State in Washington D.C. and the United Nations in New York City, volunteering at Rise Against Hunger, and countless other activities. I was in charge of setting up and maintaining social media accounts for both sites, running each site's blog, fielding questions from parents who wanted to see more photos of their children, and working with the NSLC administrative staff as needed. I returned to Georgetown University in summer 2018, where I am currently working and producing daily content for this program.

Even though I was working as a staff member for all of the NSLC programs I covered, the experience had a huge impact on my life. The two staffs I worked with were full of incredible, determined, talented, and vibrant individuals who are all well on their way to making a mark in the world, just like the students are now poised to do.
