I sometimes tell people I grew up at the beach... and that's partially true. The 55th street beach in Ocean City, New Jersey has been my constant over the years – a place where I went every summer to measure the successes and foibles of the last year against my hopes for the next one. I wrote about my grandparents' beach house for my personal blog, a piece which was then selected by the College Tourist for submission to the Huffington Post and subsequently re-published there. I shot this video, though not included in the original post, while I was in Ocean City in June 2017, and finally brought myself to edit everything together about a month later. This house means more to me than almost any other place on the planet, and even though I will continue traipsing the globe as long as humanly possible, OCNJ will always hold the most special place in my heart.
